RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria & Vacancies Details:

• Technician Grade‑I Signal – 183 vacancies – Bachelor/Diploma in Engineering in relevant discipline – 18‑33 years – Pay Scale Rs.29,200
• Technician Grade III – 6,055 vacancies – 10th/SSLC plus ITI in relevant trades – 18‑30 years – Pay Scale Rs.19,900

Education Qualification

Candidates must fulfil the educational qualifications for Grade 1 Signal and Grade 3 Posts to be eligible to apply online for RRB Technician Recruitment 2025. The post‑wise education qualification is mentioned below:

• A) Bachelor of Science in Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Instrumentation from a recognised University/Institute OR
  
  B.Sc. in a combination of any sub‑stream of basic streams of Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Instrumentation from a recognised University/Institute (OR)
• B) Three years Diploma in Engineering in the above basic streams or in combination of any of the above basic streams (OR)
• C) Degree in Engineering in the above basic streams or in combination of any of the above basic streams
• RRB Technician Grade 3 – Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trade of Forger and Heat Treater / Foundry man / Pattern Maker / Moulder (Refractory) (OR) Matriculation/SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the related trades.

Age Limit (as on 01/07/2025)

As mentioned in the RRB Technician Notification, the minimum age limit is 18 years, and the maximum age is different for both posts.

• Technician Grade 1 Signal – 18 to 33 years
• Technician Grade 3 – 18 to 30 years
• Upper age relaxation for reserved categories is mentioned below:

Category – Age Relaxation

• SC/ST – 5 years
• OBC (NCL) – 3 years
• Ex‑Servicemen (more than 6 months of service after attestation) – Up to the extent of service rendered in Defence plus 3 years
• PWD – 10 years + relaxation for the respective category
• Candidates ordinarily domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01/01/1980 to 31/12/1989 – 5 years
• Candidates who are serving Group ‘C’ and erstwhile Group ‘D’ Railway Staff, Casual Labour and Substitutes in Railways who have put in a minimum of 3 years of service (continuous or in broken spells) – UR 40 years, OBC‑NCL 43 years, SC/ST 45 years
