IT Network Manager

The Network Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, stability, security, and strategic direction of the company’s network infrastructure. This role provides direct people management of the Network team while maintaining accountability for the design, operation, and evolution of Roseburg’s LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, and network security platforms. The Network Manager ensures the network environment is reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned with business and operational needs across corporate, manufacturing, and remote locations.

• Provide direct leadership and people management for the Network team, including fostering a positive culture, workload prioritization, performance management, coaching, and professional development.
• Serve as an escalation point for complex technical and operational issues impacting network services.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, voice, and collaboration technologies.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and resiliency of network services supporting business-critical applications and manufacturing operations.
• Maintain accountability for network security technologies, including firewalls, SD-WAN, VPN, SASE, and access control solutions.
• Ensure proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and lifecycle management of network platforms.
• Partner with Cybersecurity and Infrastructure teams to ensure network designs and operations align with security standards, risk tiers, and least-privilege principles.
• Ensure network changes follow established change management, documentation, and audit requirements.
• Own and enforce network standards, configurations, and operational runbooks.
• Define and maintain the network technology roadmap, balancing operational stability with modernization and future-state architecture.
• Research, evaluate, and plan adoption of new networking technologies to support evolving business needs.
• Partner with IT leadership, vendors, and business stakeholders to align network capabilities with enterprise strategy.
• Partner with IT Operations and Automation teams to ensure network infrastructure design aligns with production facility operational needs.
• Lead and oversee network-related projects, including coordination with internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Manage service engagements related to network services and infrastructure.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with architectural standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering or infrastructure roles.
• 3+ years of experience in technical leadership or people management role.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking technologies, including routing, switching, wireless, WAN, and network security.
• Experience managing complex, multi-site network environments.

• Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto networking and security platforms.
• Experience supporting manufacturing or OT-adjacent environments.
• Strong understanding of network monitoring, observability, and incident response.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
