Senior Pharmacy Technician (Acute Care Pharmacy Tech III)
Seaside, Oregon
Elevate patient care in our Seaside hospital! As Senior Pharmacy Technician, you'll support safe, accurate, and timely medication distribution while demonstrating advanced skills in two or more specialty pharmacy areas. Maintain automated dispensing systems, triage orders, and optimize workflows to ensure seamless hospital operations.
Key Responsibilities Medication Distribution & Operations- Fill and dispense oral/IV medications, unit-dose, and stock items to nursing units and departments
- Triage and prioritize orders for timely patient care
- Maintain Automated Dispensing Systems (ADS/ADMs) and utilize EHR for workflows
- Identify and escalate system issues to leadership
- Apply expertise in 2+ specialty areas to support safe practices and compliance
- Assist pharmacists and teams in optimizing medication use
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience (one of):
- 2+ years (≥4,160 hours) pharmacy practice in integrated health system with PTCB certification, OR
- 3+ years (≥6,240 hours) hospital pharmacy experience (without PTCB)
- Prior experience with ADMs and EHR
