Job Summary
In addition to providing diagnostic services in a hospital and/or clinic setting, the role provides a leadership responsibility for the continuance of daily operations and assists in resolving problems with staff, equipment, and delivery of patient services. To maintain standards of patient care and work quality that promote team concepts and reflect KPNW mission and philosophy.
- Perform all duties of technical position, using knowledge, skills and abilities required for age of patient served.
- Coordinate daily activities of department to ensure proper workflow and quality of care is met, including scheduling of staff and day‑to‑day activity of patient procedures for fluoroscopy, general diagnostic, surgery and portable exams. Perform Quality Assurance functions.
- Internal/external problem solving to include patient and staff concerns at first level. Coordinate employee in‑service/orientation/training and department meetings to comply with staff/federal/local law for facility and staff needs.
- Ensure lateral staff communication/coordination with radiologists and other health care providers. Maintain and order supplies. Assist supervisor/manager.

Education- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Science or related field
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License (Oregon) OR Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington)
- Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire
- Radiologic Technologist Certification
- Daily use of diagnostic equipment, imaging and health care computer system.
- Demonstrates customer‑focused service skills.
- Ability to use and apply excellent communication and interpersonal skills with all personnel.
- Proficient knowledge of radiology equipment and exams to perform fluoroscopy, DXA, surgery, portable and routine radiographic exams.
- Minimum three (3) years of work experience of modality.
- Experience performing general radiographic exams using digital equipment within the last three (3) years.
- Organization skills, time management, prioritization, planning; attention to detail; problem solving, decision making, judgment.
- Technical skills; initiative; communication, interpersonal skills, customer relations, organizational relations.
- Adaptability; knowledge of and adherence to all Policies and Procedures; flexibility.
- Prior leadership experience in an Imaging department or healthcare related field.
- Experience with McKesson PACS.
- Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
