Dravon Medical Inc. is a medical device manufacturer known for delivering exceptional contract manufacturing solutions to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). With expertise in Radio Frequency (RF) welding of thermoplastics, Dravon specializes in producing custom medical fluid bags for a wide range of usage applications. Headquartered in Clackamas, Oregon, the company hosts two ISO Class 7 clean rooms certified to the ISO 13485:2016 quality standard.

Since 1974, Dravon has served a diverse client base, from major healthcare industry OEMs to emerging companies bringing new products to market. The company also markets its own line of disposable medical clamps used in healthcare facilities globally.

Role Description

The senior sales engineering role serves as the primary contact point for OEMs utilizing Dravon as a contract manufacturing partner for custom medical fluid bags and other disposable medical devices. Customer relationship management, business development, and leadership of engineering projects for existing and prospective customers are core activities of this position. Critical to success is effective collaboration with our production and quality management teams and an ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Qualifications
  • Proven expertise in Sales Engineering and successful project management of medical device manufacturing projects.
  • Strong Sales and Customer Service experience with an emphasis on nurturing long‑term client relationships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, plastics, materials, or biomedical engineering or other technical field of study.
  • Ability to work on‑site in Clackamas, OR, with occasional travel to meet with clients.
  • Medical device manufacturing experience, preferably with plastic films, and knowledge and close familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and ISO 13485.
  • Well balanced verbal and written communication skills with an ability to receive and share detail in a clear, accurate manner with a wide range of counter parties.
  • Report writing and solid understanding of documentation requirements for contract manufacturing of medical devices, including preparation and presentation of price quotations covering production runs, prototyping work, report preparation (IQ OQ PQ) and validation work.
  • Outstanding time management skills with an ability to prioritize work efficiently in order to meet deadlines and customer commitments.
  • Ability and comfort using Computer Automated Design (CAD) software.
