We’re supporting a global leader in drive technology, automation, and motion control solutions in their search for a Solutions Engineer to join their Electronics Sales team.
This is a highly technical, customer-facing role that blends engineering expertise with consultative selling. You’ll work closely with customers, sales teams, and engineering specialists to deliver customized automation solutions across a wide range of industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities- Promote and grow drives, controls, and automation product lines, including VFDs, servo systems, PLCs, HMIs, and motion controllers
- Size, specify, and propose complete drive and automation systems for applications such as conveying, indexing, hoisting, pumping, and material handling
- Develop technical proposals, quotations, BOMs, and application documentation
- Provide pre-sales, sales, and post-sales technical support
- Support customers during commissioning, startup, and programming
- Deliver technical training to internal teams, partners, and customers
- Conduct on-site demonstrations, troubleshooting, and field service support
- Collaborate with sales leadership to achieve regional and company growth objectives
- Communicate customer feedback and product improvement ideas to product management
- Support internal technical projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Attend training sessions, trade shows, and industry events
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering field, or 5+ years’ experience in motion control and automation systems
- Strong hands-on knowledge of servo motors, AC/DC drives, PLCs, HMIs, encoders, and fieldbus networks (PROFINET, Ether Net/IP, Ether
CAT) - Experience taking applications from concept through commissioning
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Strong applied knowledge of system sizing, load calculations, and component selection
- Proficiency with test equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Excellent communication and customer engagement skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM systems
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently
