The Investing Process Engineer will be responsible for understanding and improving the investing processes across all PCC Structurals casting plants. This includes hands‑on involvement in process control, implementation of best practices, and driving cost‑saving initiatives. The role will also focus on collaborating with multi‑disciplinary teams and communicating with various levels of operations, engineering, and management.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Gain in-depth knowledge of the investing processes across all Structurals casting plants.
  • Lead and implement process improvement projects, coordinating necessary resources and ensuring measurable cost‑saving results.
  • Host regular sessions to share and review investing best practices among all plants.
  • Assist in maintaining and enhancing process control within the core facility.
  • Drive multiple projects including raw material qualification and system upgrades throughout the Structurals plants.
  • Work with multi‑disciplinary teams and communicate effectively with all levels of operations, engineering, and management.
  • Identify and support R&D initiatives, including source development, system upgrades, and new shell system implementation.
  • Propose and lead additional projects in process improvement, engineering, and R&D.
  • Travel to different plants and facilities as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Master’s degree desired.
  • 7+ years of experience in process improvement, engineering, or operations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the investing processes in structural casting.
  • Experience with process control and driving cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Ability to lead and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams and projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience working with engineering, operations, and management teams.
  • Proven track record of successful project management and R&D involvement.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support various plant operations.
OTHERS
  • Understanding of both aqueous and non‑aqueous ceramic oxide slurry systems.
  • Understanding of non‑aqueous binder manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ceramic core making process.
  • An understanding of high temperature metal‑ceramic thermodynamics.
  • Basic understanding of ceramic oxide raw material manufacturing processes.
