System Innovation is seeking a highly motivated Digital Engineering SME who is passionate about using Digital Engineering to address our customers' most challenging problems. In this role, the candidate will lead the systems engineering efforts to design, develop and use a digital thread/digital twin framework for additive manufacturing in the Department of the Air Force (DAF). This is providing a groundbreaking framework that will be used across the DAF.
As a result, the SME is also responsible for coordinating across the DAF (i.e., SAF/AQ, AFRL, AFLCMC, RSO, Warner Robbins AFB and the Digital Transformation Office) industry, and academia to develop training, policy, and guidance to advance the state of practice.
- B.S. (desired - M.S. or Ph.D.) in an engineering discipline or related field.
- Minimum 2+ years, up to 10+ years of SE/MBSE experience.
- Strong understanding of how system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities are enabled by MB across the engineering lifecycle.
- A self-st with a passion for Digital Engineering, learning, and continuous improvement; and demonstrated experience in Digital Engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities in large scale projects.
- in one or more of the programming languages for quantitative analyses (ex. MATLAB, Mathematica, Python, R).
- Pro in SysML and Cameo.
- and written communication skills.
Must be eligible for a Department of Defense security clearance.
