Ensure safe and reliable operations of BPA power systems through preventative maintenance as a Field Electronics Engineer!
- Plan and oversee preventative maintenance to ensure operability, reliability, security and compliance with BPA and other regulatory agency policies.
- Engineer for system integration, modification, design, troubleshooting, installation and failure analysis for power systems and control systems.
- Work remotely at substations and telecommunication sites around the district.
Applicants must meet the following education requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET or a program that includes differential and integral calculus and courses in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: statics, dynamics, strength of materials, fluid mechanics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, electrical fields and circuits, nature and properties of materials, and any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics or electronics OR
- College-level education, training and/or technical experience that furnished a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical science underlying engineering, and a good understanding, both theoretical and practical, of the engineering science and techniques and the applications to one of the branches of engineering.
Applicants must also possess the following:
- Mastery of, and skill in applying, expertise in advanced electronics engineering concepts and procedures.
- Knowledge of the techniques, principles and policies of project management and/or project engineering in order to participate in a range of project management and/or project engineering activities.
