Elementary Music Teacher — Hood View Adventist School
Imagine starting your mornings with a view of Mt. Hood, spending your days doing work that genuinely matters, and ending each week knowing you've helped a child fall in love with music. That's life at Hood View Adventist School.
About the RoleWe're looking for a full-time elementary music teacher who is passionate about music to join our tight-knit faculty family. You’ll teach classroom music to our Preschool through Grade 4 students and direct the band and choir for Grades 5–8. You'll also have the chance of leading a monthly praise team for all-school Friday worship and bringing student performances to our six supporting churches each year.
We are looking for someone who believes music is transformative and would like to develop a culture that believes that too.
About the SchoolHood View Adventist School is a thriving Preschool–8th grade school serving just over 200 students across 20 beautiful acres with a stunning view of Mt. Hood. We have a dedicated full-time principal, 11 full-time teachers, strong support staff, and constituent church communities that genuinely invests in this school.
Our setting is the best of both worlds: a warm, country atmosphere with a true family feel — yet close Portland. Small enough that every teacher and student is known by name. Large enough to offer a full, rich educational experience.

- A personal, growing faith in Jesus Christ
- Genuine enthusiasm for Adventist, Christ-centered education
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- A belief that every student has musical potential worth developing
