This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 5 hours per week), tax research assistant positions for the College of Business at Oregon State University ( OSU ). Successful candidate can expect to:
Assist in collecting and organizing financial and tax data from public companies’ annual reports.
Successful candidate is expected to have strong listening skills, familiarity with 10-K reports, and the responsibility to complete research tasks within designated time frames.
Pay rate for this position is $16.05 per hour.

Position DutiesSuccessful candidate is expected to spend up to 5 hours per week on assisting faculty in collecting and analyzing tax and financial data.
- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student:
Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program - Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
- High School student:
* International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services ( USCIS ). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services ( OIS ), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.
Additional Required Qualifications
Applicants must be students at Oregon State University with a senior standing (or above) and GPA of 3.0 or better.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
It is preferred that successful candidates possess a strong familiarity with 10-K reports, be able to work up to 5 hours each week, and complete assigned tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Applicants who completed both ACTG 319 and ACTG 424 with at least B+ are considered first.
Working Conditions / Work ScheduleCandidate is expected to conduct meetings in person but complete tasks remotely. Work schedule is flexible as long as assigned tasks are completed with high quality within designated timeliness. Team meeting spaces will be provided for on-campus research training and periodic meetings.
