Job SummaryThe Department of General Agriculture invites applications for one or more fixed‑term, non‑tenure‑track full/part‑time Instructor positions to teach on a term‑by‑term basis for the 2025‑2026 academic year. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the Department Head.
Instructors are expected to foster critical thinking and advance student knowledge and skills through teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses, specifically in the fields of Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Communications, Agricultural Education, and/or Leadership.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Agricultural Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Communications, Agricultural Education, and/or Leadership.
- Design and deliver course content that fosters critical thinking.
- Assist students, faculty, industry clients, and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement assessments that align with course objectives.
- Master’s Degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Education, Leadership, Communication, or a related discipline appropriate to the field of teaching/instructional task.
- Relevant teaching experience at the high school, college or university level.
- Demonstrated success and commitment to effective teaching and service.
- Demonstrable commitment and ability to work with faculty, students, industry clientele, and stakeholders.
- Advanced technical expertise in areas such as Agricultural Systems Management courses.
- Certification in a technical area depending on course taught.
- Experience teaching diverse learners in online, continuing professional development, or other settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of types of learners in diverse settings such as online education.
