Overview

High Point School is currently looking for a Special Education Math Teacher who holds a Math Certification and TOSD, or a Special Education Teacher with TOH, who is well-versed in algebra and committed to enriching students of different ages and academic levels. The teacher will provide specialized learning experiences and supervision of special education students in a supportive and positive classroom environment in accordance with their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall welfare of each individual student during the school day.
  • Designs, implements and evaluates an educational program appropriate to each student s individual needs.
  • Supervises, schedules and provides instruction for teaching assistants.
  • Maintains regular communication with families and/or guardians, the Principal, clinical staff and other staff to ensure goals and objectives of all IEP plans are being met.
Qualifications
  • Must hold a High School Math Certification and TOSD, or a Special Education Teacher with a TOH
  • Experience teaching math to high school students
  • Must have experience working with students ages 13-21. At least 2 years of teaching art experience preferred.
