Role OverviewCHAI seeks a highly motivated Associate to support governments in sustaining essential HIV services amid shifting health financing. Working across more than eight countries, the Associate will help partner governments identify, prioritize, and scale evidence‑based approaches that maximize health impact and value for money. The role includes strengthening national capacity for strategic planning, financial sustainability, and data‑driven decision making.
Responsibilities Data Analytics, Modelling & Decision Support- Conduct discrete analyses on HIV and integrated service delivery interventions (costing, forecasting, scenario modelling, funding‑gap assessment, cost‑effectiveness).
- Generate insights that guide strategic and operational decisions.
- Support country teams in interpreting data, evaluating prioritized care packages, and aligning interventions with national guidelines.
- Maintain an organised, up‑to‑date repository of tools, models, evidence summaries, and strategic resources, with proper version control.
- Produce high‑quality evidence synthesis products – briefs, policy notes, dashboards, and polished presentations – used in GC8 and other planning processes.
- Conduct literature reviews and deep‑dive analyses on HIV optimization, efficiency, and sustainability opportunities.
- Document lessons learned, best practices, and cross‑country insights; facilitate knowledge exchange.
- Track global and country‑level developments; produce periodic landscape analyses and news updates.
- Support routine monitoring of project activities, outputs, and outcomes; help generate impact stories from data.
- Coordinate and support periodic reviews, reflection sessions, and adaptive management processes.
- Support development of learning agendas that strengthen programmatic evidence.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute key project activities – work planning, scheduling, risk mapping, and activity tracking.
- Proactively identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve cross‑team coordination and collaboration.
- Contribute to the development of scalable program concepts aligned with CHAI’s HIV sustainability agenda.
- Support proposal writing, donor engagement, and development of technical content for new funding opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as required to support program success.
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, health economics, medicine, pharmacy, nursing, or a related field, plus 3+ years of relevant experience.
