Position Overview

This is not just a numbers-on-a-spreadsheet role. The Construction Estimator is the position that helps bring projects to life before the first piece of material ever hits the jobsite. You’ll work alongside our Construction leadership, project managers, field teams, and clients to evaluate project opportunities and develop competitive, accurate estimates for multi-family construction projects. From tenant improvements and building repairs to larger renovation and reconstruction work, you help translate plans and project requirements into clear scopes and reliable cost projections.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed and accurate construction estimates based on project plans, specifications, and site conditions
  • Review drawings, scopes, and project documents to define labor, materials, subcontractor, and equipment needs
  • Develop scopes of work and solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors
  • Support competitive bidding opportunities and negotiated project proposals
  • Collaborate with project managers and operations teams to ensure estimates align with real-world production
  • Participate in site visits to evaluate project conditions and identify potential risks or challenges
  • Help ensure project budgets, timelines, and cost expectations are realistic and achievable
  • Maintain organized documentation for estimates, proposals, and bid records
