About the Role:

We are seeking drivers with a commercial class A license with doubles endorsement to deliver beautiful plants to our customers. No experience is needed, willing to train the right candidates!

Employment Status:
Employment is full-time, seasonal for approximately 5 to 6 months, with the possibility of year-round employment, subject to change based on the business need.

Description:

We are seeking experienced drivers with a commercial class A license with doubles endorsement to deliver beautiful plants to our customers throughout the west coast.

• Operating an over-the-road tractor trailer or 26’ box truck with a set of doubles to deliver Monrovia plants to our valued customers.
• Unloading plants and/or assisting garden center employees with the unloading process.
• Assisting in our rack retrieval program.
• Obtaining shipping bills of lading and necessary signatures and returning completed documents as appropriate to the shipping office.
• Operating in a safe manner performing pre trip and post trip inspections and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintaining an electronic driver s log with accuracy and in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Performing other related duties to benefit the mission of the company as assigned.

• are at least 21 years of age.
• have a valid commercial class A drivers  license with doubles endorsement.
• have an acceptable driving record for the past 3 years (must be accepted by insurance).
• have good basic math and geography skills.
• can follow verbal and written instructions accurately and are able to respond in writing as necessary.
• are proficient at dealing with customer personnel with tact and diplomacy.
• are open to feedback.
• are open to working extended hours.
• meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements and can successfully pass a substance abuse screening.
• enjoy working in a team environment and being supportive of co-workers.
• can lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly or 60+ pounds on occasion.
• have the full range of mobility in your upper and lower body, can reach overhead and work in various positions including stooping, standing, walking, bending over, and squatting; can lift, pull, and push materials, use hands and fingers to feel, handle plants or operate objects, tools or controls; are able to use close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus, all with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• You ll receive paid overtime after working 45 hours per week.
• Your meals will be reimbursed, and lodging will be provided when on the road.
• You ll earn 40 hours of sick time upon completing your eligibility period.
• You ll be eligible for Holiday Pay upon completing 30 days of employment
