High School Varsity Football Coach - $6,200
Job Description
Requirements- All coaches are required to have a Type 10 or Type 20 drivers’ certificate unless a medical condition prevents their ability to obtain.
- Interscholastic Coaching Course or previous ASEP/NFHS Certification
- Background/criminal history clearance
- Interrupting and Preventing Discriminatory Acts Training
- OSAA Heat Illness prevention
- Is ethical and respectful to athletes, competitors, parents and officials.
- Follows all the rules and school district expectations.
- Communicates effectively with athletes, parents and district staff.
- Maintains an openness to athlete and parent concerns and facilitates appropriate parent and athlete meetings.
- Appropriately supervises students in locker rooms, training areas and while being transported.
- Organizes practice sessions and other activities with attention to individual and group safety.
- Is effective at managing or assisting with finances, scheduling, transportation and other responsibilities.
- Provides an adequate system for management of equipment.
- Is effective at teaching skills and strategies to athletes.
- Can prepare a team for their opponents.
- Abides by district and OSAA sport specific rules.
- The coach can create a team where higher and lower skilled athletes alike are team orientated and are motivated by the team concept.
This position serves as the leader of the program for both athletes and assistant coaches.
