What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Develop and oversee an automated portfolio roll‑up process for the entire enterprise
  • Design and build a database repository and management system for property policies
  • Provide analytics to help Business Unit leadership understand portfolio exposure and improve profitability
  • Assist in the validation of vendor or in-house built models and tools using claims or other data
  • Communicate research and analytics with underwriters, actuaries, and other stakeholders
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, math, actuarial science, statistics, engineering, or physical science
  • Minimum of seven years of related work experience
  • Strong proficiency with Google Cloud SQL coding and Big Data Query
  • Experience programming in a common software language such as C++, VBA, R, or Python
  • Strong knowledge of Commercial Insurance terms and conditions
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Knowledge of the Verisk catastrophe model and backend tables
  • Proven problem‑solving capabilities and ability to devise innovative solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to creatively manage through ambiguous and challenging problems
  • Experience building statistical risk models or other catastrophe models and tools
