You understand the balance of when to build quickly to deliver value sooner, but also when to build meticulously for mission-critical projects.

You will work on a product-oriented team with a focus on building, delivering, and maintaining functionality in areas where the business needs are strongest. You will be a expected to be an owner of these product areas and use your experience to help Vesta create as much value as possible for our customers.

Because we try to tailor the role to the strengths of every team member, most items listed are not hard requirements, but some areas of experience that may be relevant are:

• 5+ years of experience building robust, scalable web services in a production environment.
• Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks such as
  React and Type Script , or sufficient familiarity with frontend development paired with exceptional backend capabilities.
• Strong proficiency with C# or other statically typed languages such as Kotlin, Go, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL
  , including schema design and query optimization.
• Proven experience designing, deploying, and maintaining distributed systems and addressing challenges around scalability, reliability, and performance
  .
• Familiarity with cloud environments and services (
  AWS preferred), as well as real-time event streaming (
  Kafka
  ) and caching solutions (
  Redis
  ).
• Comfortable navigating and contributing to complex data models, including defining and optimizing them in collaboration with team members.
• Driven to tackle genuine business problems, translating high-level goals into practical engineering solutions.
• Highly autonomous, proactively owning tasks and deliverables, with a willingness to occasionally extend beyond standard working hours to meet business goals.
• Strong bias towards practical, iterative development—focused more on building impactful software and solving real business problems over meetings and politics.
