The Garage Door Technician's role involves conducting repairs and installations for residential/light commercial garage doors and openers, alongside delivering top-notch customer service to all clients. This entails leveraging extensive expertise in garage doors and company-endorsed programs to ensure effective solutions for customers. All technicians will also be trained in HVAC service technician roles to support sustainability and balance seasonal fluctuations in workload.

• Conduct inspections to assess the condition of garage doors, openers, and related components
• Perform repairs and maintenance on garage door systems.
• Install new garage doors, openers, and associated hardware according to manufacturer specifications
• Troubleshoot garage door issues such as alignment problems, mechanical failures, and electronic malfunctions
• Adjust and test garage door openers and safety systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance
• Provide customers with recommendations for repairs, upgrades, or replacements based on system condition and needs.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on HVAC equipment
• Establish strong customer rapport to recommend and sell appropriate products, services, service club agreements, and financing options
• Present yourself as a professional and knowledgeable technician to generate referrals and repeat business
• Understand service criteria and hold yourself accountable for meeting or exceeding revenue goals
• Respond promptly to service calls and manage scheduled appointments efficiently
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations for both garage door and HVAC systems
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and a well-inventoried service vehicle
• Accurately document service performed, parts used, invoices, time cards, findings summaries, and customer reviews
• Participate actively in training sessions, safety meetings, and weekly team meetings

• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record is required for this position.
• Garage Door Experience is preferred.
• Must be able to work Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday.
