* Perform all tasks in a safe manner. Be a role model and advocate for safety among co-workers.
* Perform all tasks in an environmentally responsible manner.
* Perform preventive and predictive electrical maintenance tasks as assigned.
* Perform general electrical maintenance tasks as assigned by supervisor.
* Perform general mechanical tasks.
* Install and rearrange complex equipment.
* Diagnose complex equipment failures.
* Dismantle, repair and reassemble complex equipment.
* Completes minor repairs of motors, drives, and electrical components.
* Complete routine paper and/or computer work (work orders, work hours, parts, etc.).
* Assist supervisor, planner and manager in the planning and scheduling of electrical work.
* Work from drawings, verbal instructions or sketches.
* Use shop math on a routine basis.
* Operate man-lifts, scissor lifts, cranes, and forklifts as required.
* Able to operate production equipment as required.
* Ensure shop areas, work areas, parts, tools etc. are kept clean and orderly.
* Work overtime as needed.
* Work on-call coverage as required.
* Safety & Compliance:
Follow all safety protocols and environmental regulations; promote a culture of safety.
* Electrical Maintenance:
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and components.
* Installation & Repairs:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair complex electrical equipment and systems.
* Diagnostics:
Identify and resolve electrical issues using tools, gauges, and technical documentation.
* Documentation:
Complete work orders, time logs, and parts usage records accurately.
* Planning Support:
Assist in scheduling and coordinating electrical tasks with supervisors and planners.
* Technical
Skills:
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and verbal instructions; apply shop math as needed.
* Equipment Operation:
Operate lifts, cranes, forklifts, and production equipment as required.
* Housekeeping:
Maintain clean and organized work areas and tools.
* Additional duties as assigned.
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
* 5+ years of experience in electrical field; heavy industrial setting preferred.
* Oregon Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician license required;
Oregon General Journeyman License preferred.
* Valid driver's license.
* High level of safety and quality.
* Strong understanding of electricity and power distribution systems.
* Strong mechanical aptitude.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* Good communication skills (written and oral).
* Good computer skills (entering work hours, work orders, parts usage, excel, and word).
* Gather and analyze information skillfully and with alternate solutions in mind when necessary.
* Ability to multi-task at a fast-pace (at times), work in outside conditions during all seasons, climb multi-levels by stairs & ladders, work from elevated platforms, use hand tools (shovel, hammer, wrenches, etc.).
* Familiarity with working on ladders, scaffolds and in confined spaces/pits.
* Experience with ERP systems preferred but not required.
* Mine Safety and Health (MSHA) Knowledge - Preferred.
* Forklift, man lift, and scissor lift experience preferred, but not required.
* Forklift experience - Preferred.
* Computer Software - Preferred.
* Warehouse experience - Preferred.
