Position Title: Shop Mechanic

Company: Brix Paving Northwest Inc.

Compensation: From $30 per hour

Location: Sherwood, OR

Industry: Construction Services

We’re seeking a motivated and experienced shop mechanic for the swing shift (2 pm to 10:30 pm). As an integral part of our operations, you’ll work on a variety of paving projects, contributing to our reputation for excellence.

• Diagnose and repair heavy equipment, dump trucks, pickup trucks and trailers
• Analyze and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions or failures
• Perform welding and fabrication as required
• Identify and order correct parts for repairs
• Other duties as assigned

• 2 years of automotive, machinery and equipment maintenance experience
• Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines
• Can diagnose, repair and troubleshoot brake systems, drive systems, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
• Valid driver’s license (required)
• Dedicated and self‑motivated
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills
