Job Description

Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment to buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, and drywall/masonry work.
- Replacing light bulbs, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets;
- Painting structures and equipment;
- Replacing damaged ceiling tiles/components, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, replacing HVAC filters/belts;
- Performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Make minor carpentry, mechanical and plumbing repairs.
- Analyze, Plan, and Perform Preventive Maintenance of various systems.
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and make modifications of premises and equipment
- Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
- Order and maintain parts as needed.
- Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
- Properly maintain and safeguard assets.
- Maintain a high quality of service at all times.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work well on a team.
- Self-motivated and self-starter.
- Follows all applicable safety rules and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- A combination of education and directly related experience equal to two (2) years;
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
- Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Job Requirements
- Active (or ability to obtain) TS/SCI with Poly Clearance
- Possess a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to lift and/or carry moderate weight (50 pounds), sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, repetitive hand motions, hear, speak, may experience prolonged and irregular work hours, and work with frequent interruptions.
- Ability to assist other trades
- Available to work after-hours and perform snow removal.
