Job Overview

As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organizational and time‑management skills, and to establish retailer relationships. You will represent Hallmark, collaborating with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory levels. You may also support seasonal resets and installations, and occasionally work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

Salary and Schedule Details
  • Your starting hourly pay rate will be $16.30 to $18.30 depending on your skills and experience.
  • Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
  • This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
  • Average weekly hours are between 7–12 hours per week.
  • Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Day‑to‑day engagement:
    Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Use technology to communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete required merchandising activities. Professional, courteous interaction with store employees, management and customers is vital. Be responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores.
  • Holiday support:
    During seasonal demand peaks such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours. On some holidays (e.g., Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day) you may be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends.
  • Department resets:
    Occasionally form a team for installations, card department relocations and fixture resets. Advanced notice (typically two weeks) is provided for remodel assignments, which may involve evenings or weekends.
  • Team collaboration:
    As part of Hallmark’s field organization, support other merchandisers within your network when needed.
Physical Requirements

This physically demanding job requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying cartons, merchandise and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may climb stairs and step ladders.

Basic

Qualifications
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Read, write and understand English.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Operates a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information.
  • Has a Wi‑Fi network and internet access.
  • Has consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
