Server Assistant

Overview

Juniper Preserve is seeking a Server's Assistant! Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and be highly focused on providing superior service. Schedule Wednesday through Sunday, PM shifts.

Greets customers as they enter the restaurant, takes their reservations or puts them on the waitlist, gives them menus, and shows them to their seats. Responsible for quickly and accurately delivering orders from the kitchen to guests at the restaurant. Handle phone calls and customer queries about the restaurant and menu, and assist with various restaurant staff when necessary. Will be responsible for ensuring that tables are clean, set, and ready for guests, assisting servers with food and beverage service, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

• Highly organized to properly maintain seating charts and seat customers in the order of arrival or by appointment
• Seats guests/customers and hands out menus
• Quickly and accurately delivers food orders from the kitchen to the customers
• Answers the phone to take reservations and questions
• Set and clear tables in a timely manner, ensuring that each table is clean and properly set with utensils, condiments, and other necessary items
• Assist servers with food and beverage service, delivering food and drinks to tables, and clearing plates and glasses
• Ensure that the dining area is clean and organized at all times, including cleaning spills and maintaining a tidy appearance of the dining room
• Communicate with the kitchen staff and servers to ensure that orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly to guests
• Handle customer complaints and special requests in a professional and courteous manner
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling and disposal of food, and use of cleaning chemicals
• Support Food & Beverage teams by providing assistance in various areas as needed to ensure smooth operations

• Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in company-approved uniform at all times.
• Must be able to operate P.O.S. computer, make change correctly, and make credit card transactions accurately.
• Must be able to read and write notes to hearing-impaired guests.
• Must be able to pass server validation.

• Able to pass a drug test for illegal substances
• Must be dressed neatly and well-groomed in company-approved uniform at all times.

Must maintain current Food Handler Card and OLCC Service Permit.
