Position: OR Nurse (RN) - Irrigon, Oregon
Location: Irrigon

This opportunity is ideal for a Registered Nurse with a focus on perioperative care, providing safe, effective, and patient-family centered nursing during intraoperative surgical procedures. The role requires a strong commitment to patient advocacy and leadership within the operating room and perioperative services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and direct perioperative nursing activities, ensuring safety and quality care for all patient populations.
  • Safeguard patients from injury due to extraneous objects or equipment hazards.
  • Implement patient care plans, including site verification, specimen management, medication administration, and infection prevention.
  • Monitor and maintain patient physiological status across multiple body systems.
  • Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and provide culturally competent, ethical care.
  • Accurate and thorough documentation of all nursing care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and utilize problem-solving skills to support effective working relationships.
  • Remain current in competencies and pursue ongoing professional development.
  • Act as patient advocate, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to privacy standards.
  • Participate in all required education and training programs.
  • May be assigned to other qualified departments as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Associate of Science in Nursing required;
    Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current RN license in Oregon.
  • Certifications:

    BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required; CNOR and additional perioperative training preferred.
  • Previous RN circulator experience and scrub experience are advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to perform varied tasks efficiently.
  • Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and therapeutic communication with diverse populations.
  • Service excellence in patient-centered care is essential.
Location:

This is a contract position with scheduled on-call rotations for the Surgery Unit, offering the chance to contribute to a high standard of perioperative nursing within a focused surgical team.
