Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) CVOR - Scrub/Circulator is responsible for providing skilled nursing care in the operating room, functioning as both a scrub and circulating nurse. This role requires at least two years of experience and the ability to handle cardiac emergencies, on-call duties, and potential weekend shifts. The RN may be required to float between units based on unit needs.

Responsibilities:

- Function as a scrub nurse, preparing and maintaining the sterile field and assisting surgeons during procedures.
- Function as a circulating nurse, managing the operating room environment, ensuring patient safety, and documenting procedures.
- Respond to cardiac emergencies.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Float to other units based on unit needs.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of working.
- Minimum of 2 years of Scrub and Circulator experience.
- CVOR experience.
- BLS certification.
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment.

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- Experience in a high-volume surgical setting.

Special Considerations

- On-call required for cardiac emergencies.
- Weekend shifts required, approximately one Saturday 0600-Monday 0600 per month.
- Must have a vehicle for this assignment.
- May be required to float to other units and facilities to meet the needs of the organization.
