Position Details
ED & Trauma Coordinator, Part‑time hours, approximately 12 hours per week; flexibility required for meeting attendance and nurse manager call coverage. Hourly, Non‑Exempt;
Non‑Union.
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (DNS/CNO) assists in development of annual goals and objectives for the Emergency Department (ED). Identifies need for and helps coordinate employee orientation, in‑services, and quality assurance programs for optimal delivery of safe patient care for the Emergency Department. Acts as Trauma Coordinator for Lake District Hospital with responsibility for the Trauma Program data management, quality review and performance improvement.
RequirementsEducation
Graduate of accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
Licensure / Certification / RegistrationCurrent RN license from the Oregon State Board of Nursing required. Current AHA CPR certification is required. ACLS, TNCC, NRP and ENPC or PALS are mandatory; CEN preferred.
ExperienceThree (3) or more years of clinical nursing experience; at least two years in ED.
Job KnowledgeResponsible to understand and capable of implementing duties within the scope of rules and regulations of the Oregon State Board of Nursing and the Nurse Practice Act.
SkillsDemonstrates leadership abilities. Able to work calmly and effectively under stressful situations. Exceptional oral and written skills. Proficient in ED skills, exceeding the standard for regular staff.
