Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a CCC-certified Speech-Language Pathologist with at least 1 year of LTC or rehab experience for a weekday rehab assignment.
Responsibilities- Work in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility rehab setting
- Monday through Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts
- Start times must be between 6AM and 10AM, flexible as long as communicated with DOR
- No weekends required unless making up missed weekday hours due to holidays
- No on-call responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and provide rehabilitation for patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders using evidence-based assessments
- Develop individualized care plans and regularly adjust treatment based on patient progress
- Consult and provide counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers regarding speech and swallowing disorders
- Document all patient care in the electronic documentation system according to regulatory standards
- Participate in required meetings, trainings, and facility or company in-services
- Supervision and support of CFY or student SLPs may be required
- Adhere to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and professional ethics
- No more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) permitted for this contract
- Current and active Missouri SLP license required; compact license accepted where applicable
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- At least 1 year of SLP experience required; new grads accepted with Level II clinical experience
- Experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting required
- One professional reference required for consideration
