Inventory Control Specialist

Treske Precision Machining, Inc. is a precision machine shop serving the Space & Defense, Aerospace, Electronics, and Commercial industries. We are a technology-driven organization that utilizes robotic machine loading and inspection. Our cloud-based, on-the-clock training is available to all employees, and our in-house software developers continually improve the flow of information needed to perform daily work efficiently.

This position is responsible for the day-to-day inventory control processes and inventory accuracy for the manufacturing department at Treske Precision Machining. This includes raw materials and finished goods inventories. The process begins at receiving, continues through issuance to released job orders and kitting, and concludes with job closeout to inventory. The goal of the Inventory Control Specialist is to maintain inventory accuracy of 98% or higher to help ensure minimal interruptions to manufacturing and production, enabling the team to achieve optimal output and on-time delivery (OTD).

Shift: Days, Monday – Friday

Major Duties And Responsibilities
  • Maintain company wide inventory accuracy within the ERP system as the top priority.
  • Work closely with the planning team when work-in-process (WIP) discrepancies occur and rework routers are required.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing group to identify and resolve receiving discrepancies or freight-related damages.
  • Develop and maintain inventory control documentation to support effective inventory management practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Familiarity with the concept and use of an MRP system.
  • Knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management functions.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team oriented, with the ability to work with stakeholders across departments to establish checks and balances.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Customer service oriented for both internal and external customers.
  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Desired Skills And Experience
  • Familiarity with ISO 9000 registration requirements is a plus.
  • Experience with Epicor ERP is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Comfortable using computers in a business environment.
Education And Experience
  • High school diploma required.
  • College degree or 4+ years of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in factory settings.
  • Exposure to manufacturing conditions such as noise, dust, and outdoor elements.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb stairs, and move throughout the facility.
  • Must be able to lift light to moderately heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
