Fall Creek is creating a world with better blueberries through its friendly,collaborative team spread across the globe. To help us accomplish this, we are seeking a qualified Tissue Culture Lab Technician. This position will be located in Lowell, OR.

The Fall Creek Tissue Culture Lab Technician position is responsible for cutting plant material as directed and meeting production, quality and contamination standards. The lab technician is responsible for performing work in a safe and efficient manner. This position reports to the Tissue Culture Supervisor.

• Conducts general TC lab processes such as micropropagation, evaluations, initiations, etc. according to established protocols while meeting productivity, contamination, and quality standards.
• Always maintain a clean and safe workplace (workstation, Transfer Room, Culture Room, Lab) in accordance with established protocols, policies, and direction from the TC Supervisor.
• Records data of all activities (time, # of containers used/made, # plants planted) and observations in proper logs.
• Immediately reports any issue related with plants (i.e., morphology, contaminants, numbers, etc.) directly to TC leadership team.
• Stocks the Transfer Room with supplies as needed or directed, such as Kimwipes, alcohol, gloves, facemasks, etc. and updates inventory sheet.
• May assist with other lab processes and operations.

• High school Diploma or GED or 1-year related working experience, preferred.
• Must be able to read and follow detailed instructions, directions,and protocol sin English or Spanish.
• Requires a high attention to detail and the ability to observe small deviations.
• Requires the ability to be highly organized in handling materials, equipment, and supplies.
• Strong collaborative skills, including the ability to develop positive relationships and maintain a positive attitude while working in a team environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Regular and reliable attendance at the primary place of business.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the position.
• Must demonstrate professional and ethical business practices, adherence to company values, and a commitment to personal and professional development.
