The Production Lead is responsible for execution of the day‑to‑day operation of high‑speed automated packaging equipment. This role ensures that production targets are met efficiently, safely, and with a focus on quality and machine uptime. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with automated packaging systems and a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

• Machine Operation & Maintenance
  • Oversee proper setup, changeovers, and basic troubleshooting of packaging machinery.
  • Monitor machine performance and elevate mechanical issues to maintenance when needed.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure optimal machine output and minimal downtime.
• Efficiency & Continuous Improvement
  • Drive productivity and throughput by optimizing line staffing and material flow.
  • Identify and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance output.
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing efforts.
• Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure packaging meets all internal quality standards and customer requirements.
  • Conduct in‑process inspections and partner with Quality Assurance to resolve issues.
• Training & Development
  • Train new team members on equipment operation and safe work practices.
  • Coach packaging associates to ensure adherence to procedures and performance expectations.
• Reporting & Communication
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, downtime, and scrap rates.
  • Communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams including Maintenance, Quality, and Planning.
