Production Associate - Day Shift

Position Summary:

The Production Associate is responsible for performing trimming and packaging tasks to support Calbee’s potato processing operations. This role ensures all company procedures are followed, production schedules are met, and quality and food safety standards are maintained. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Shift Time - 6:45am - 7:00pm

Shift Days - Monday - Thursday (occasional Friday due to the needs of the business)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform trimming and packaging tasks as assigned to ensure efficiency and adherence to company procedures.
• Follow all instructions provided by supervision and work designated shifts.
• Monitor product quality and handle materials to minimize product loss.
• Ensure all packaging and trimming meet established quality standards.
• Communicate with other departments to maintain a smooth production flow.
• Provide support in other departments as needed, including relief duties.
• Assist in training new employees when required.
• Participate in sanitation processes as assigned.
• Attend and participate in required training sessions related to GMPs, SOPs, HACCP, and SQF.
• Apply and demonstrate knowledge of food safety procedures and company policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area at all times.
• Adhere to all company safety guidelines and food safety regulations.
• Meet or exceed standards in quality, sanitation, and production performance.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

Physical Demands:

• Occasionally required to lift and pull items up to 40 pounds
• Frequently bend, reach, stoop, lift, push, and pull
• Stand and work for periods up to 12 hours
• Work in a plant/production environment
• Perform light to medium-duty physical tasks

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand documentation and labels related to cleaning and sanitizing
• Ability to communicate effectively, write legibly, and speak in English
• Ability to perform all essential job functions satisfactorily

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

• Safety eyewear required in designated areas
• Protective clothing, hair nets, and gloves required
• Additional PPE may be required depending on the task and area of the facility
