Execute light repairs to wings, fuselages, control surfaces and other parts of Special Light Sport Aircraft (SLSA) under the guidance of Quality Assurance Inspectors. Uses a variety of hand and power tools to repair and replace damaged or mis‑assembled parts from partially assembled aircraft components prior to delivery for aircraft completion.

This is an on-site full-time, hourly, direct labor position.

• Working with the production team to ensure a steady flow of materials are available for the Aircraft Assembly Division (AAD) of Van’s Aircraft.
• Repairs typically include replacing nonconforming rivets, damaged aircraft outer skins and occasional replacement of internal structural components.
• Work is directed by Quality Assurance Inspectors and signed off by the inspectors upon completion.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to operate hand and power tools such as air operating drills, rivet guns, polishing tools, etc. safely.
• Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively and execute tasks under direction.
• High attention to detail.

• Experience in autobody repair or metal working preferred.
• Experience in aerospace/aviation repairs preferred. A passion for aviation is beneficial.
