Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Four-Slide Machinist role in Wood Village.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and maintain four-slide machines to produce precision metal stampings and formed components.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to ensure parts meet specifications and tolerances.

  • Select, install, and adjust tooling, cams, and feeds for optimal machine performance.

  • Monitor production runs, inspecting parts for quality and making necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and consistency.

  • Troubleshoot machine issues, tooling wear, or setup problems to minimize downtime.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on machines and tooling to ensure efficiency and reliability.

  • Accurately document production data, including machine settings, adjustments, and inspection results.

  • Collaborate with engineers, toolmakers, and team members to improve processes and meet production goals.

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, following all company safety procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or toolmaking preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience operating and setting up four-slide machines (or related stamping/forming equipment).

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine tooling, cams, and feeds.

  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T.

  • Skilled in the use of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

  • Problem-solving ability with keen attention to detail and quality.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Flexibility to work swing shifts or overtime as required.
