KeyResponsibilities:
- Perform MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) welding on steel, aluminum, and other metals.
- Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Set up and adjust welding equipment, torches, and power tools for various applications.
- Fabricate, cut, and assemble metal components according to engineering and production requirements.
- Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity, making adjustments as needed.
- Operate grinders, plasma cutters, and other metalworking tools to prepare and finish welded parts.
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and quality control teams to meet production goals.
- Proven experience as a Welder in heavy equipment, structural, or industrial manufacturing.
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and schematics.
- Experience working with structural steel, sheet metal, and industrial components.
- Knowledge of weld testing procedures, including visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT).
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and overhead welding.
- Welding certification (AWS, ASME, or similar) preferred.
- Experience in heavy equipment or large-scale structural fabrication.
- Familiarity with robotic welding systems and CNC cutting machines is a plus.
