Attorney General Dan Rayfield Political Organizer
The Dan Rayfield for Attorney General campaign committee is hiring a Political Organizer to oversee outreach and program work. As President Trump continues to threaten civil rights, Attorney General Rayfield pushes back by suing the Trump administration over illegal tariffs, protecting individual rights, and fighting to protect every Oregonian. The Political Organizer will spread word about the Attorney General’s work, give people an avenue to support and join AG Rayfield, and work to identify partners and allies ready to protect rights and liberties and push back against Trump transgressions.
The organizer will be a key member of the campaign team, working closely with the Attorney General and his campaign consultants.
This full‑time position requires excellent organizational skills, political acumen, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑and‑goal‑driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the campaign consultant to draft and maintain a campaign budget.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute low‑ and high‑ dollar fundraising events, including event budget and goals, venue selection, vendor management, guest outreach, and day‑of event coordination.
- Prepare detailed briefing materials and logistics for candidate call time.
- Research and maintain donor databases, tracking contributions and donor engagement.
- Coordinate with campaign consultant to ensure compliance with campaign finance regulations.
- Staff political events for the Attorney General.
- Coordinate candidate travel logistics and support political scheduling.
- Prepare advance work for events including venue walkthroughs, security coordination, and stakeholder meetings.
- Attend regular county party and community meetings and organizational events as campaign representative.
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, elected officials, and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate campaign participation in party and community‑sponsored events and activities.
- Serve as liaison between campaign and community organizations.
- Support the campaign social media accounts and respond to public inquiries during events.
- Prepare campaign‑focused talking points and messaging for fundraising events and partisan political activities.
- Create content for campaign newsletters, donor communications, and volunteer outreach materials.
- Five years of professional experience, with some experience focused on running political campaigns.
- Some experience building winning and effective campaign plans.
- Foundation of knowledge of the Oregon political environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and work with everyone from elected leaders to constituents to community partners to volunteers.
- Ability to set priorities and make strategic decisions and manage a work plan remotely.
- Expertise in modern campaign tactics.
- Compelling communication skills, including excellent writing and presentation skills.
- Solid understanding of state election and campaign finance laws impact on program.
- Collaborative leadership style, low ego, spirit of service, and a sense of humor.
Salary is $62,500 to $75,000, depending on experience.
