Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life

This full‑time, on‑site role located in the Greater Eugene‑Springfield Area requires the Assistant Director of Fraternity Life to oversee and support fraternity organizations on campus, coordinate programs and initiatives that promote engagement, and ensure adherence to university and organizational policies. Responsibilities include advising student leaders, facilitating leadership development, organizing events, and ensuring alignment with the mission and values of the university.

The Assistant Director collaborates with stakeholders, fosters a positive campus environment, and advocates for an inclusive and supportive community within the fraternity life system.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships and support fraternity organizations effectively
  • Experience in student affairs, event planning, programming, or advising student groups
  • Excellent communication skills for advising, facilitating discussions, and engaging with diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of fraternity and sorority life practices, higher education policies, and student development theories
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and the ability to create an inclusive campus environment
  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field preferred
  • Familiarity with conflict resolution, risk management, and program assessment
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also functioning independently
