• Responsible for design/build and plan specification projects.
• Estimate labor in construction for build, design, labor, installation of projects; perform all tasks from “cradle to grave”.
• Assist the service department with obtaining maintenance and service contracts.
• Establish and maintain relationships that benefit ongoing operations.
• Work with the Construction Manager to decide which projects to bid on.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and walk-throughs.
• Develop and implement a pre-bid checklist.
• Secure project plans and specifications for estimating and bidding.
• Generate leads through developed contacts.
• Create a spreadsheet detailing each bid and identify unique characteristics within a bid.
• Establish and maintain bid file.
• Determine with Construction Manager overhead, profit and mark-up for each bid.
• Ensure proper communication is maintained throughout the process with each department head.
• Review all aspects of the contract.
• Order appropriate equipment and materials needed.
• Review and approve drawings.
• Prepare job cost estimates for accounting.
• Coordinate with engineering on design-build projects.
• Monitor job progress including scheduling and equipment deliveries.
• Review daily job reports from the job foreman.
• Communicate on a consistent basis with GC and Owner regarding project progression.
• Process any changes that may arise.
• Review as-built drawings and submit to engineering for processing.
• Assist Service Manager in obtaining maintenance contracts.
• Assist accounting in obtaining payment if needed.
• Develop a positive relationship with GC and Owner, communicate if any issues or concerns arise.

• $100K - $120K DOE

• Salary + Commission (commission based on metrics, average earnings $10-$20K)

• Familiar with HVAC, Plumbing & Construction.
• Experience with estimating labor in construction.
• Sales and Marketing experience.
• Ability to work well with various department leads.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand and sit for extended periods.

• Knowledge of HVAC, Water Piping and Refrigeration.
