Why does the job exist?The role involves conducting confidential interviews professionally and preparing investigative reports within required time frames. Incident Management maintains accurate compliance tracking, reporting, and trending for the facility.
How does it get done?The Lead Investigator handles all allegations and internal reviews, maintains complete investigation files, and adheres to set timelines for compliance. The Incident Management Coordinator ensures standardized procedures are used for documentation, analysis, reporting, and ongoing management of incident and investigation documents. They also provide effective communication and visibility of incident tracking and investigations, prioritizing incidents as they are received based on response needs.
Whoare the customers?
The facility serves adolescent males aged 13-17 with a history of violence and aggression. Customers include residents, staff, and internal/external reporting divisions or agencies.
Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate has experience conducting investigations, is proficient with computers and various software applications, and has experience tracking and reporting incidents or investigations.
Requirements include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Criminology, or related fields, with two (2) years of experience in accounting, auditing, investigation, insurance adjusting, or report writing. Alternatively, a combination of education and experience totaling six (6) years may qualify.
Substitution TableThese combinations of education and experience qualify you for the position:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent + 6 years of experience
- Associate's degree + 4 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree + 2 years of experience
- Master's degree or higher + 0 years of experience
Note:
Education and experience must be related to the position's purpose. Semester hours required by the minimum qualification must be met; no substitutions apply for semester hours.
Must pass background checks and obtain clearance. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from New Mexico or obtain one within six months of hire.
Working ConditionsWork is performed in an office setting with exposure to VDT and extensive computer and phone use. Some physical activity such as sitting, standing, bending, and reaching may be required.
