Location:
Falls City, Oregon (facility)
Job Type: 13-week travel assignment. The OT will provide comprehensive, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients develop, recover, and enhance daily living skills, while earning competitive pay and benefits with the clinical team support.
Responsibilities- Create personalized therapy plans based on patient assessments, evidence-based practices, and patient goals.
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions and treatments per the treatment plan.
- Provide direct, hands-on therapy using adaptive techniques, modalities, and assistive devices to improve daily living and work-related tasks.
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, techniques, and strategies to enhance independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
- Track patient progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate documentation in the medical record.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development to remain current with best practices.
- Adhere to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions and continued patient progress in community or home-based settings.
- Perform additional duties within the scope of practice as assigned.
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
- Master’s Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
- OTR Certification (NBCOT)
- Occupational Therapy Assistant experience, but new grads are welcome to apply
- Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; PC skills
- Physical abilities: ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend
- Interpersonal: ability to work with a variety of personnel and maintain professionalism
- Technical/Motor: ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, move about when assisting with procedures and equipment
- Mental: ability to cope with frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision occasionally, and maintain attention to detail
- Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication
