Relief Pharmacist

- Current pharmacist license in the state of employment with no stipulations or board‑ordered restrictions.
- Graduated from a U.S. School of Pharmacy or passed a foreign equivalency exam.
- Successfully passed the NAPLEX exam.
- Ability to work at multiple locations and travel independently.

- Strong written and verbal communication with customers and store personnel.
- Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical products and supplies to provide competent recommendations.
- Receives and accurately processes verbal prescription orders in compliance with state and federal laws.
- Interprets, fills, labels, and bags prescription orders correctly.
- Evaluates prescription appropriateness with patient safety and legal requirements in mind.
- Provides drug counseling to customers and prescribers.
- Familiar with third‑party billing procedures and facilitates customer charges.
- Maintains accurate records, including insurance information, and delivers prescriptions to patients.
- Makes calls to prescribers and their office staff as needed.
- Efficiently uses prescription computer systems.
- Maintains inventory, reconciles controlled substances, and complies with record‑keeping requirements.
- Promotes proper immunizations to patients and administers them safely.
- Engages in clinical activities for which they have appropriate training.
- Delegates monitoring and ordering supplies and stocks incoming orders.
- Compares and checks incoming orders, aids in supervision, and delegates responsibilities to associates.
- Files prescription orders and records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Resolves conflicts and problems with customers and personnel in the manager’s absence.
- Reviews and interprets pharmacy reports.
- Oversees administrative tasks in the department when the manager is absent.
- Notifies management of employee or customer accidents.
- Reports pharmacy incidents, miss‑fills, safety risks, and illegal activity to store management and Sedgwick promptly.
- Can stand entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Performs essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
