Healthcare Recruiters seeks onsite 4 Qualified Mental Health Professionals/Mental Health Specialists (QMHP/MHS) for our client’s Behavioral Health facilities in OREGON
: one in Heppner and two in Boardman (located in Morrow County) and one in Arlington located in Gilliam/Wheeler County). Their mission is to provide dynamic, progressive, and diverse supports to improve the well-being of individuals and their communities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The QMHP/MHS II, III, or IV provides culturally competent and appropriate behavioral health treatment to individuals of all ages with all types of diagnosis. The position works closely with other involved community partners and is professional in all aspects of service delivery.

Additionally, this position assists administration in meeting the behavioral health needs of the community. Depending upon location, this position is supervised by the Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Director or Site Manager.

SOME RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide clinical services to children, adults and families. This would include but is not limited to screening, assessment, individual and group therapy, consultation, and all other allowed clinical services.
  • Actively participate in joint case planning and coordination with agency employees and relevant agency contractors. Act as a liaison between clients and other agencies. Act as a client advocate when appropriate.
  • Actively participate in group and individual supervision sessions.
  • Work with other staff and community representatives to initiate new programs, reviews, evaluates and revises existing programs, as necessary.
  • Provide after-hours emergency services on a 24-hour, rotating basis to adults and children. This includes telephone consultation and crisis intervention in the community.
  • Provide intensive children’s treatment services.
  • Utilize agency software/computer systems to prepare current client records of treatment and reports as necessary and required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • MHS IV (Licensed) – Requires a doctorate degree from an accredited college in social work, psychology or other human service-related field, or a Master’s degree with accompanying certification as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • MHS III (non-licensed) – Requires a Master’s degree from an accredited college in social work, psychology or other human service-related field.
  • MHS II (non-licensed w/ variance) – Requires Bachelor’s degree and enrolled or willing to enroll in a Master’s program within 4 months of hire.
CERTIFICATIONS
  • Must have or be able to obtain certification from the Department of Human Services as a Certified Mental Health Investigator.
  • Must have or be able to obtain Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor designation or Certified Gambling Addiction Counselor designation.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Must possess, or have the ability to acquire, knowledge of symptoms and challenges faced by people with mental illness and addictions.
  • Must have skills to professionally work with the public and the ability to coordinate services across various agencies and community groups.
  • Must be able to develop cooperative and respectful relationships with clients and their families.
  • Must have knowledge, or the ability to acquire knowledge, about the recovery model.
  • Must be computer literate and have the ability to type and utilize word processing and other software programs/systems.
  • Must have the ability to work well with teams and other groups of individuals.
PAY GRADES
  • MHS IV: ($71,800 - $108,400 annually) Exempt (Expectation to work 40 hours a week)
    Requires Doctorate or Licensure
  • MHS III: ($65,500 - $98,300 annually) Exempt (Expectation to work 40 hours a week)
