Senior Tax Specialist- Claims Team

• Monitor and interpret federal and state tax regulations for disability and paid family and medical leave programs to ensure compliance
• Oversee accurate calculation, withholding, and remittance of applicable taxes for benefits administered through claims software
• Ensure proper preparation and filing of required tax forms such as W-2 and 1099
• Act as a subject matter expert on benefit taxation and reporting requirements, providing guidance to internal teams
• Develop standardized templates and documentation to support compliance processes and identify areas for process improvement

• 3+ years of experience in tax compliance/administration within an insurance carrier setting
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax rules and sick pay reporting requirements
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex tax regulations
• Experience managing multi-state compliance requirements
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

• Prior experience with FINEOS, ADP, and/or Sovos software packages
