The Player Development Coordinator plays a key role in supporting L.A.B. Golf’s commitment to exceptional player experiences, operational excellence, and brand representation. This position manages a wide range of responsibilities including player communication, product and order coordination, social media engagement, and CRM database accuracy. The Player Development Coordinator ensures that players, brand ambassadors, and coaches receive timely, professional support while also coordinating with internal teams to manage production timelines, shipping logistics, and fitting needs.
Success in this position requires strong interpersonal skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to stay adaptable in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. A passion for golf, a collaborative mindset, and a customer‑first attitude are essential.
- Take ownership of the Player Development (PD) inbox, ensuring timely, kind, and clear communication with players, brand ambassadors, customers, and the VP of Player Development.
- Provide operational support during team travel or offsite activities to maintain consistency and continuity.
- Coordinate with the Shipping Department to confirm addresses, delivery timelines, and logistics for events involving players and representatives.
- Print and review build sheets, ensuring all notes and changes align with production standards and player specifications.
- Place orders and communicate build priorities to the PD/Tour Builder for accurate and efficient production.
- Track order progress through production, ensuring timely completion and delivery.
- Assist in managing return shipping logistics and issuing coupon codes for players and coaches as needed.
- Leverage in‑person and remote fitting knowledge to provide accurate product recommendations for players.
- Support brand ambassadors and players with fitting inquiries, ensuring alignment with performance goals and product specs.
- Upload and maintain accurate build sheet data within CRM systems, ensuring consistency and accessibility.
- Track and report on daily inquiries, builds started, and resolved issues to the VP of Player Development.
- Manage the L.A.B. Instagram account by posting regularly, responding to messages, and engaging with followers in a timely, professional manner.
- Monitor and analyze social activity related to the PD Department, sharing relevant insights and trends with the team.
- Stay informed on brand guidelines, best practices, and limitations for social media, ensuring all posts align with L.A.B.’s standards and public image.
- Coordinate closely with the Tour and Fitting Departments as well as VP‑level personnel to align Player Development initiatives with broader organizational goals.
- Support pipeline player needs, including work orders/changes, warranties, and exchanges.
- Take ownership of product management tasks related to Player Development, including inventory awareness, usage tracking, and proactive supply planning.
- Coordinate seasonal schedules and outreach plans (e.g., fall visits, top 100 coaches/programs) to ensure timely planning and execution.
- Anticipate and support product needs for fittings, events, and brand ambassador usage to ensure readiness across PD initiatives.
- Serve as a point of contact for product‑related questions and elevate complex issues to the appropriate internal teams.
- Perform additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned to support the success of the Player Development Department and the overall mission of L.A.B. Golf.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Training or certification in customer service, sales, or golf industry programs is a plus.
- Minimum of 12 years in a customer service, client relations, or player support role.
