Project Engineer - Career Start - Boardman, OR | Regular Full-Time | Career Start

As part of our two‑year Career Start program, this entry‑level, rotational role will rotate through Project Management, Estimating, and Field Operations, giving recent graduates a comprehensive foundation in project execution.
Responsibilities- Estimating Responsibilities:
- Assist with a subcontractor database and assembly of bid documents.
- Document take‑offs, including specification review, quantity take‑offs, and organizing data in spreadsheets.
- Develop bid clarifications, RFIs, and participate in project walk‑throughs.
- Update scope sheets, trade spreadsheets, and detailed estimates.
- Participate in architect/owner meetings and prepare hard bids.
- Write qualification assumptions, value‑engineering proposals, and document lists.
- Field Operations Responsibilities:
- Gain basic knowledge of document control, shop drawings, and exhibit B process.
- Maintain project files, quality control, punch list, and construction management plan.
- Assist with site logistics, vertical/horizontal control, safety requirements, and baseline schedule updates.
- Support superintendent in daily reporting and documentation.
- Project Management Responsibilities:
- Assist with change orders, purchasing, back‑charge, and vendor procurement processes.
- Support punch‑list process, O&M manuals, and as‑built warranty information.
- Participate in project meetings and owner requisition processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Liberal Arts, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of related experience.
- Computer literate with strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Employees will spend most of their time in an office environment with a quiet to moderate noise level while performing fine motor skills on a keyboard, telephone, or writing. Standing, walking, reaching, and performing tasks on a job site are also required.
