Overview

As a Senior Manager of Engineering, you will oversee all operational aspects of software development, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. You will provide administrative, technical, and people leadership for multiple, diverse, and geographically distributed teams. Your responsibilities will include providing clear guidance, delivering constructive feedback to team members, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, train, coach, lead, and retain top-tier talent, with an emphasis on developing a team and workplace culture that employs best-in-class methods to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure engineering teams adhere to established internal development standards, consistently delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Proven leadership skills, demonstrated ability to mentor, influence, and deliver scalable and robust data solutions.
  • Engage with teams, architects, and stakeholders to collect requirements and specify solutions.
  • Collaborate with Dev Ops, IT, and Database Administrators to ensure the needs and requests of your team members are met efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, considering overall organizational goals and strategy to help reduce delivery time and operational costs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to find opportunities for automation and quality improvement.
  • Participate in root cause analysis for issues encountered and ensure that permanent solutions are implemented.
  • Communicate project status updates with management and peers on a regular basis.
  • Complete all responsibilities as assigned and any special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of management experience with increasing level of responsibility and oversight.
  • Experience estimating and planning software development projects including risk management and integration plans.
  • Experience in Java development.
  • Experience in Oracle SQL development and data architecture.
  • Experience working in an agile environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and tasks simultaneously.
  • An extremely motivated, results-oriented individual that is very self-directed and comfortable thinking and reacting quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to provide a dedicated, secure work area.
  • Ability to provide high-speed internet access / connectivity and office setup and maintenance.
  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.
Compensation and Benefits

Base compensation ranges from $135,000 to $175,000 per year. Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs. This role is eligible for discretionary bonus consideration.
