About the RoleThe ELD Teacher at Table Rock Elementary will provide targeted instruction in English language development, ensuring that multilingual learners acquire the academic language skills necessary for success. This role involves collaborating with general education teachers to adapt curriculum, differentiate instruction, and integrate language learning strategies across subjects. Responsibilities include assessing student language proficiency, tracking progress, and implementing evidence‑based interventions to support individual student needs.
The teacher will also create a welcoming and culturally responsive classroom environment where students feel valued and empowered to use their linguistic and cultural strengths as assets in learning.
- Provide targeted ELD instruction to multilingual learners.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and differentiate instruction.
- Integrate language learning strategies across subjects.
- Assess student language proficiency and track progress.
- Implement evidence‑based interventions to support individual student needs.
- Create a culturally responsive classroom environment that values linguistic and cultural strengths.
- Current Oregon Teaching License with an endorsement in ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
- Strong instructional and pedagogical skills in language acquisition.
- Collaborative team player eager to work with general education teachers, specialists, and families.
- Passion for adapting curricula to meet evolving student needs.
- Ability to integrate technology and innovative assessment tools.
- Bilingual applicants in Spanish and English encouraged.
- Contract:
193/194 days (8 hours per day) beginning immediately through June 12, 2026. - Salary range: $46,548 - $90,846 per year plus a Master’s stipend of $2,327 (prorated based on start date).
- Depends on verified full‑time experience and Master’s credits.
- Excellent benefits package, including 6% PERS retirement employee contribution paid by the District.
