Assistant Manager – Regal Entertainment
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to oversee the operation and supervision of a Regal theatre and its employees. The role requires a representative to Regal consistent with our mission, policies, and regulations.
Pay Scale$21/hour

Responsibilities- Regular and consistent attendance.
- Uphold and administer all theatre policies.
- Train, develop, coach, and supervise non-management employees.
- Perform all staff positions as required.
- Operate all projection and audio‑visual equipment within the theatre, both hardware and software, including film handling (threading, building‑up, tearing down, etc.) and maintenance.
- Maintain knowledge of all systems within the facility in booth and projection technology including programming, TMS operation and all related projection skills.
- Ensure required alcohol certification and training are current where applicable.
- Monitor risk management pertaining to employee and patron safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and proper handling, reporting, and investigating of accidents.
- Ensure guest satisfaction.
- Count, deposit, and reconcile all receipts taken during a business day. Receipts include cash, credit cards, coupons, gift cards, checks, discount tickets, and any other mode of payment or accountability deemed applicable by Regal.
- Comply with dress code.
- Complete or be in the process of completing the management certification program.
- Review and understand the ROM.
- Interview, hire, schedule, coach, counsel, suspend and terminate cast members within oversight of the GM or senior management, and after conferring with the Human Resources Manager, properly administer all applicable paperwork and uphold all company policies as they pertain to Human Resources.
- Control costs, including all direct operating expenses; purchase and order concession and café stock and any other supplies needed for daily operations, as well as inventory and auditing processes involved in tracking those supplies.
- Supervise theatre maintenance (building and grounds, where applicable), perform minor repairs and obtain qualified personnel for large maintenance concerns.
- Market and promote feature film engagements; schedule movie show times and the timely delivery of show times to all proper channels.
- At least three months supervisory experience, or six months theatre experience with completion of Cast Certification Program, or a combination thereof, or after showing potential leadership and/or management skills to theatre management, subject to VP approval.
- Legal age and required alcohol sale and server training if theatre sells alcohol.
- Good public speaking skills; effectively communicate in both oral and written form; listen effectively; respond clearly and directly; explain information to others.
- Perform calculations with speed and accuracy; identify and correct errors.
- Identify problems, gather relevant data, evaluate alternative solutions, and recommend solutions. Perform under pressure and/or opposition.
- Proven experience with PC platforms and knowledge of basic office programs including e‑mail, word processing, spreadsheets. Operate copiers and other office equipment; maintain attention to detail.
- Interface effectively with customers, the public, and co‑workers; exhibit sensitivity to the feelings of others. Establish goals, budget time, and set priorities to achieve desired objectives.
- Directly supervise an unspecified number of employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Regal's policies and applicable laws. Train and coach employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward, address complaints, resolve problems; and, under the direction of the General Manager or senior manager, discipline employees. As directed by the General Manager, responsibilities may include interviewing and hiring.
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, use of hands; reach; talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Regularly required to lift up to 60 lbs. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
