Position Title: Men’s Ministry Assistant
Department: Men’s Ministry
Supervisor: Men’s Ministry Director
Time Commitment: 15 hrs/week
Classification: Non-Exempt PT Support Staff (-20 hrs/wk) 7N
Position ProfileThis position at Good Shepherd Community Church exists to provide administrative support for Men’s Ministry. This position may also help coordinate Corporate events (Veteran’s, 4th of July Picnic), and will provide backup front desk coverage.

- Administrative, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Self‑motivated, flexible, ministry minded
- Able to take direction and multitask
- Detail oriented
- Proficiency in word processing and databases
- Experience with Microsoft programs
- Willingness to learn new software as needed
- Experience in inventory control, bookkeeping, and event coordination
- Respond to Men's ministry requests, calls, and emails
- Coordinate projects and mailings
- Work closely with the Communication Team to create presentations, booklets, and graphics for ministry promotions
- Provide cross‑ministry support as needed
- Order books and curriculum as needed
- Reconcile ministry credit card
- Process purchase orders, check requests, expense reports, budget reports, deposit slips
- Administrative support for Men’s Bible Study, activities, and events
- Monthly – Men’s Ministry Team, Men’s Bible Study Table Leaders, Community Resource Team
- Events – Friday@Six, Sportsmen’s Expo, Tygh Valley Men’s Retreat
- Manage registration lists
- Coordinate event planning and assess event needs
- Provide administrative support to ministry volunteers and staff
- Manage event volunteer list and ensure ministry certification is current
- Exhibits an authentic relationship with Jesus made evident by a Christ‑following lifestyle
- Ensure all actions performed within the context of this job position accomplish and further the mission, vision, and values of Good Shepherd Community Church
- Adhere to the Statement of Faith as established and approved by Good Shepherd Community Church elders
- Regularly attend Good Shepherd Community Church
- Complete Ministry Certification, which will include a criminal background check, as part of hiring process
- Adhere to the policies, procedures, and code of conduct outlined in the Good Shepherd Community Church Employee Handbook
- Attend weekly staff lunch, monthly staff meetings, monthly Ministry Rep meetings
